It's a good thing to believe in God when someone you know (or hardly know) dies. Death isn't a good time to be agnostic.

You're my bright and shining star.

You know, I never realized that I was afraid to fall in love until I actually did.

My view on chivalry.

I just read this article on Teen Ink. It's titled "Seven Signs of a Gentleman." Now, I really like this website, but I had a few problems with the very popular article, besides its obvious grammatical mistakes.

"Have you ever thought how your guy should act on a date? What are the signs of a keeper? Well I'm going to lay down a short list for you.

1. He

should always come to the door and knock or use the door bell.
The dude that parks his car and honks, when he finally learns to come to the door he should find he doesn't have a date.

2. He should always get the door.
If he starts climbing into the car and you’re still looking at the door it's still a short trip back to the house.

Now if you've made it out of the drive way your off to a good start. Unless you have someone willing to give you a ride you are stuck finishing the date. So now if it goes bad you’ll be eliminating future dates.

3. You shouldn't have to get your own refreshments period. In fact the thought of getting your own drink at this point should be appalling.

4. He pays.
He ask to take you out remember? Not for you guys to hang out as friends. Friends split the check boyfriends cover it.

5. He walks on the side with traffic.
Why for splashing water and bad drivers. I don't know who came up with that one but he's suppose to get dirty and killed first it's a rule.

6. He keeps his hands to himself.
It's a first date, you’re not married to the dude- he needs to keep his hands off.

7. He walks you to the door.
He had to get the car door anyway besides its rude and uncaring not to.

So these are my seven rules for a date worthy guy. Just cause you can do these things yourself. It doesn't mean you should have to.
If you want there to be good guys you have reject the rest."

These are my Seven Signs of a Gentleman:

1. He asks you where you want to go, or what you would like to do. It's both your first dates together, so plan it together.
2. He offers to pay. He might insist, but if you pay, it's not the end of the world.
3. He asks you questions.
4. He refrains from distractions on the date, and acts interested in you.
5. He makes you laugh, but not at anyone's expense.
6. He doesn't talk about other relationships or past romantic or sexual experiences.
7. He compliments you genuinely and originally.

Sorry for the rant. :)
